In line with efforts to expedite the investigative and prosecution process, some 30 deputy public prosecutors have been deployed to police divisions across Singapore. The same DPP will also oversee a case from beginning to end. These initiatives were announced on Jan 10, at the opening of Legal Year 2022. Singapore’s legal service will also see a restructuring. The move to separate judicial and legal services will take effect on Jan 14.
